Deuterocanonical books in Nzema language

Today 24th September,2014 will forever remain a special day in the history of the deaneries of Axim and Half Assini.
For at a meeting organised by the two deaneries at Our Lady of Fatima Grotto in Nawuley,the committee that was formed on 27th August,2012 and tasked with the translation of the Deuterocanonical books into the Nzema language handed it project over to the Priests.
Before the presentation,Mr. G.B.Kwasi,chairman of the committee thanked the Priests for the honour done the members of the committee in selecting them to work on this project.
He also paid tributes to late Bishop Amihere Essuah and Dr.Kwame Nkrumah for projecting the Nzema language and encourage the Priests to use their ministry in promoting Nzema literature.
The chairman further explained that the translation was based on the Revised Standard Version of the Bible and anybody who compares it with the Goodnews Version will discover some slight difference just as it exist in the “RSV”and the Goodnews Bible.
Rev. Fr. Michael Herzuah on receiving the books on behalf of the Priests thanked the committee for a good job done.
He also used the occasion to tell the committee that it is only the first part of the project that is completed. Hence he urge them to work with the Bible Society of Ghana to ensure that it becomes part of the Nzema Bible.
The committee was made up of the following members:
STEPHEN KWASI(who passed away before today).
